DIY solar charger out of four cells?

I have four 15-volt photovoltaic modules each 0.15 amps each. All I can think of to do with they are: wire them in a series of charging a small battery of 12 volts. So would have the power to charge small usbstuff etc. I'll buy the diodes block, the fuse 12 volt charger etc. Do you think my idea is viable? I realize it's not much, but I'm sorta poor at the moment. Over time I hope to add as necessary, all their ideas, and Avice greatly appreciated. God bless you all!

Great idea, Aaron. I think I have to cables parallel if they are 15 volts each. The four panels will provide a peak power of only 9 watts for 12 volt battery can take a few days to reach full charge. Also charging of the phones and USB things, you can use the battery to power a reading lamp LED (1 watt) and a small FM radio (3-7 watts). Millions people in the developing world now have Solar Powered LED lights, radios and phone chargers. This is life changing if you live outside the network. Check look at the links below – fantastic! The great benefit of this type of project in the developed world is not the amount of the electricity grid to save as much as the experience you have to generate their own energy and enthusiasm to do more. I hope that inspires their friends and neighbors to have a go themselves.
